Yacht Broker & Project Manager
Grand Bahama Island-native, Mike Stafford, has a background as diverse as the vessels he offers for sale at Bradford Marine Bahamas. Although, there is one common denominator – the sea. From working in the fishing industry as a teenager, he graduated to become a commercial diver in the Pacific and Gulf of Mexico before returning to the Bahamas with his own boat rental business. Mike then went into the recreational scuba diving industry where he is credited as being one of the pioneers of the Bahamas shark-feeding dives. That fame caused him to be recruited to manage dive operations and resorts in the Cayman Islands, Curacao and Bonaire.
In 2002, Mike again returned home to Grand Bahama Island as manager of a timeshare resort and marina. He was instrumental in the recovery process after the island was devastated by hurricanes in 2004 and 2005. Mike joined the Bradford Marine Family of Companies in December 2006, and uses his vast experience in the Caribbean marine industry to offer a variety of vessels to clients worldwide, from sailboats to mail boats and everything in between. Mike is also very active on Grand Bahama Island and gives back to the community through his involvement in the Rotary Club of Freeport, where he was President for two years in 2005-2007.
