Bradford Marine to get overhaul
Bradford Marine revealed details about the first phase of its “multipart improvement project.” The Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based yard, acquired earlier this year by Fort Lauderdale Yacht Harbor, said it plans to modify its dockage, repair and maintenance facilities, and brokerage sales.
“We are excited to get started on this multiphase renovation project to revitalize this iconic facility,” said John Kelly, CEO of Fort Lauderdale Yacht Harbor, in a statement. “As lifelong boaters, we understand the needs and challenges of yacht owners, captains and crew, and our vision is to combine our business experience and love of yachting to bring highly valued updates to Bradford Marine.”
Kelly said the enhancement project includes a complete facelift to facilities, with landscaping, paving, additional parking, improved security features, a gated entrance with a guard and upgraded dockside electric service; new broadband at the Fort Lauderdale facility; and a crew fitness center. Bradford Marine also plans social-event programming for captains and crews based in the facility during refit work.
“Bradford Marine will evolve into a refreshed, inviting and dynamic facility, going beyond servicing vessels to create a hub for the yachting community to gather and connect,” Kelly said.
