Summary/Objective

The Facility Manager is responsible for maintaining the buildings and grounds, overseeing the upkeep of the yard equipment and supplies, determining and scheduling repairs or renovation projects, and coordinating safety inspections with HSE. The Facilities Manager is also responsible for a budget and must negotiate with outside vendors for supplies, repairs, and other measures.

  • Assists with maintaining the marina facilities to include the office, building, docks, landscaping, and marina equipment
  • Assists and oversee the overall cleanliness and maintenance of the facility including adjacent grounds contacts
  • Ensure that the facility is fully operational with all utilities functioning properly
  • Schedule and supervise maintenance repair work and assist with checking installation and servicing building equipment
  • obtain quotes and tenders from vendors and suppliers
  • negotiate contracts to optimize delivery and cost-saving
  • manage and review service contracts to ensure facility management needs are being met
  • Maintain ongoing communication with contractors, clients, and team
  • Maintains physical space, ensuring a safe, clean, and functional environment
  • Receives, manages, and processes work order requests; ensures problems are resolved quickly
  • Recommends maintenance, mechanical, electrical, and facility design modifications.
  • Drafts and implements preventive maintenance schedules for buildings and equipment
  • Participates in the emergency preparedness planning team
  • Applies, or assists with the application, for required environmental permits

The employee frequently is required to stand, walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Lift up to 40 pounds or odd-shaped boxes and equipment.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time, exempt position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Required Education and Responsibilities

  • Associate’s degree in facility management or related field
  • Two or more years in a facilities management position
  • Knowledge of repair and maintenance as they apply to facilities
  • Strong communication skills
  • Solid computer and systems knowledge
