Fiberglass Technician- Fort Lauderdale

Summary/Objective

Responsible for boat gel coat, buffing, and fiberglass repairs. Must have experience in all areas of fiberglass repair and fabrication.

Essential Functions

  • Perform structural repairs of fiberglass watercrafts
  • Perform cosmetic repairs of fiberglass watercrafts
  • Perform paint and gel coat repairs on fiberglass watercrafts
  • Possess the ability to color match gel coat
  • Remove and reinstall various components of the watercraft (as part of the fiberglass repair process)
  • Monitor and assess work performance to achieve high industry standards
  • Have the ability to take corrective actions to improve performance as needed.
  • Be able to lift 60 pounds or more
  • Maintain parts and materials inventories
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment free of hazards
  • Be able to follow written and verbal instruction and direction
  • Possess the ability to work individually and with the team
  • Be able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment
  • Complete other duties as assigned

Required Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Mechanical and/or electrical background is preferred
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Carpentry skills and tools are a plus.
