Bradford Marine is seeking an experienced Marketing Manager responsible for developing and executing the comprehensive marketing plan for the Bradford Marine Group (BMG) of companies. Job activities will include working with outside third-party providers (PR, Web, Marketing Agency) in addition to in-house creative and implementation activities.  This position is also responsible for staying abreast of all newsworthy activity in the shipyard pertaining to Bradford Marine, specific vessels and projects, Tenant Partners, and Authorized Contractors.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop marketing materials and assemble information packages for promotional events, property tours, and conferences.
  • Respond to all daily general media inquiries or refer to an appropriate spokesperson.
  • Proactively offer creative ideas and solutions on the latest enhancements to search and social marketing to help improve conversions and results.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions to develop creative materials for email communications, company website, sales materials, presentations, corporate videos, and internal and external communications.
  • Assist in developing BMG targeted email campaigns.
  • Promote awareness of brand image internally and externally.
  • BMG Social Media Campaign via Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, etc.
  • Manage company website to include:
    • Up to date and relevant content
    • Produce a minimum of 2 blogs weekly for the BMG website, emphasizing projects, vessels, Tenant Partners, Authorized Contractors, and relevant BMG activity.
    • Produce a weekly contractor spotlight post for the contractor page
    • Prepare weekly and monthly reporting on website traffic and campaign performance
    • Develop search strategies and see them through execution
    • Become the resident expert on SEM / SEO tactics and latest search algorithm updates that may affect traffic
  • In coordination with a third-party PR firm, produce and distribute timely BMG press releases to focus on relevant projects, BMG activity, and Tenant Partner activity.
  • Manage BMG Tenant Partner and Authorized Contractor Spotlight Campaign:
  • Produce a quarterly BMG Newsletter featuring:
    • Vessels
    • Projects
    • Contractors
    • Relevant BMG activity
    • Significant BMG employee activity
    • Relevant industry activity
    • Upcoming events
  • Coordinate BMG events, including:
    • Co-op networking events between BMG and Tenant Partners targeting vessels and influencers
    • Boat Shows
    • Other relevant industry events

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
  • Proficiency in writing reports and business correspondence
  • Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
  • Handle issues involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
